The original image of a tiger gnawing a bone prompted the obvious addition of a hand at one end of the bone. The banana added a little pathos or tragedy by suggesting that the former owner of the arm had been a kind person who had only wanted to feed the tiger. The choice of a banana indicates that the man had been foolish in thinking that the tiger's appetite would be satiated by a piece of fruit. His foolishness was rewarded by an ironic loss of his right arm.
Simple cut and paste using Photoshop; shadows added beneath the hand and shading of the wrist beneath the tiger's paw. I roughened-up the skin a little by overlaying some brushstrokes to give it a slightly battered appearance
